-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1,SHA512 Wed Aug 5 13:47:30 CDT 2015 For a number of reasons, I've recently set up a new OpenPGP key, and will be transitioning away from my old one. The old key will continue to be valid for some time, but I prefer all future correspondence to come to the new one. I would also like this new key to be re-integrated into the web of trust. This message is signed by both keys to certify the transition. The old key was: pub 1024D/0x58C2968CBCA64D46 2002-11-21 [expires: 2016-07-30] Key fingerprint = 7D24 82AF F764 5EF7 5DE1 E401 58C2 968C BCA6 4D46 And the new key is: pub 4096R/0x4C2F9E44C5C41DF6 2015-07-31 [expires: 2016-07-30] Key fingerprint = A063 4B43 3DD4 72EC 6A53 24CC 4C2F 9E44 C5C4 1DF6 (Use --keyid-format 0xlong to list the 16-character key ID.) To fetch my new key from a public key server, you can do: gpg --keyserver keys.gnupg.net --recv-key 0x4C2F9E44C5C41DF6 If you already know my old key, you can now verify that the new key is signed by the old one: gpg --check-sigs 0x4C2F9E44C5C41DF6 If you don't already know my old key, or you just want to be double extra paranoid, you can check the fingerprint against the one above: gpg --fingerprint 0x4C2F9E44C5C41DF6 If you are satisfied that you've got the right key, and the UIDs match what you expect, I'd appreciate it if you would sign my key: gpg --sign-key 0x4C2F9E44C5C41DF6 Lastly, if you could upload these signatures, I would appreciate it. You can either send me an e-mail with the new signatures (if you have a functional MTA on your system): gpg --armor --export 0x4C2F9E44C5C41DF6 | mail -s 'GPG Signatures' genetik@caffeine.nu Or you can just upload the signatures to a public keyserver directly: gpg --keyserver keys.gnupg.net --send-key 0x4C2F9E44C5C41DF6 You can also find this signed message at: http://www.briancreasy.com/gpg/key-transition-2015-08-05-genetik.txt Please let me know if there is any trouble, and sorry for the inconvenience. - -- Brian J.
