This recipe was given to us by Jerry and Marilane Dusterhoff. This is an annual favorite of ours that they make for friends and family.

Makes 120-150 candies

Ingredients

Dry

  • 1 box vanilla wafers crushed
  • 3 cups 10X powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1 1/2 cup pecans

Liquid

  • 1/2 cup light karo syrup
  • 1/2 cup dark rum

Process

  1. Combine dry ingredients
  2. Add liquid ingredients and mix until moistened
  3. Make walnut size balls and roll in powdered sugar
